Program Description
Floridas Able Trust High School-High Tech program is exclusively offered in Sarasota & Manatee Counties. It provides services to students who are college bound (post-secondary, vocation, and technical) as well as students who are more suited for work in the community (employability). This program takes school-to-career/post-secondary education services into the high school classroom (at the invitation of each school). Activities emphasizing both reading and mathematic proficiency are combined with career and post-secondary education experiences both in and out of the traditional classroom setting. HSHT prepares students for life after high school post-secondary education, employment, community involvement through real-world experiences. Activities include career workshops, industry & campus tours, summer internships, community service projects, leadership development, and much more!
