Program Description

The Farmworker Career Development Program of Manatee County is a government organization that assists people who have worked or are currently employed in agriculture (or packing house) in the last TWO years. Services we provide: Career Planning, Individual Employment Plan, Emergency Service, Basic Education, Supportive Services, Job Shadowing, Vocational Training, Paid Work Experience, Tutoring, Leadership Development, Social Skills Training, Community Service, and more. *No appointment necessary. *English/Spanish language spoken.

Eligibility Requirements and Important Information

If you answer "yes" to all the following questions, we may be able to help you! Are you a farm worker (or the husband, wife or dependent child of a farm worker)? Are you a citizen, legal resident of the United States or a DACA student? (Only required for participant to receive services). Is your total income very low? Have you (or your parents, husband, or wife) done packinghouse or farm work at some time during the last 24 months? Farmworkers - 70% lower living standard income level (LLSIL). WIA 167, Required documentation to include: Social security number, Immigration status and job verification. Documentation Needed: Birth certificate (if U.S. citizen) Alien resident (if applicable) Check stubs, proof of taxes, or previous employment addresses Verification of current addresses, ID, utility bill receipt or other Social Security cards or birth certificates of all family members AFDC Food Stamps (if applicable)
