Program Description
Blue Butterfly is a project of Tidewell Hospice's Grief Education and Support Center. Blue Butterfly provides grief support for families, children and teens ages 5-18 who have experience the death of a significant person in their lives. Our peer support groups are a safe place for children to share and bond with others who have also experienced a significant death in their lives. Children and teens learn the tools to heal and new ways to share their feeling, and work through their grief.
Tidewell grief specialists have extensive training and experience in helping children, teens and their families understand the effects of death and grief. With the help of trained volunteers, children and teens receive the support they need to begin to heal.
