Program Description
We offer the following services to persons with disabilities, particularly adults within low-income guidelines, in Sarasota and Manatee Counties:
CONSUMER ADVOCACY: We assist persons with applying for Social Security benefits and Medicaid Waiver Programs.
HOUSING: Information and referral to assist in directing consumers to low income housing.
INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS: Classroom setting environment where indiduals learn crafts, cooking skills, sign language, and other skills needed to live independently.
SUPPORT GROUP: Brain Injury Support Group offered (call for details).
PEER COUNSELING: Provide goal setting activities and communication skills within a classroom setting.
EMERGENCY SERVICES: Provide medical equipment and supplies, such as wheelchairs, canes, walkers, crutches, etc.
Required documentation: Social Security.
