Program Description

PACE Center for Girls is a school where a girl can find her voice in a nurturing, safe environment. Girls will set personal and academic goals, increase self confidence, and learn the skills to make positive decisions. Nurses are available to assess health issues and educate girls on a variety of health related topics, including pregnancy prevention. PACE restores hope for the future... girls can put their past behind them and make a fresh start by calling PACE! **PACE provides girls and young women an opportunity for a better future through education, counseling, training and advocacy.

Eligibility Requirements and Important Information

Middle & High School Girls ages 11-18 currently residing in Manatee County and struggling in school or facing other obstacles to success. Required Documentation: Address documentation, school records, immunization records.

Established in 1985 in Jacksonville Florida, PACE was replicated in Manatee County in 1989. Today there are twenty one PACE Centers throughout Florida.
