Program Description

Shelter and case management for homeless women with children, homeless single women, and separate shelter for homeless men. Both the Family Lodge and Men's Shelter offer case management and support for transitioning to self-sufficiency and housing through a structured on-site program. Call 748-5110 or come by main office at 1204 14th Street West in Bradenton for an interview. Spanish interpretation available. We also have availability on a first-come first serve basis, for overnight. Availability of beds changes from moment to moment. Please call for interview. Providers can view availability on HMIS. We cannot accept anyone needing medical attention.

Eligibility Requirements and Important Information

Must be homeles, and willing to work the program. Bring ID and Social Security Card. Clients must be 18 years or older and possess government identification; those with warrants or Registered Sex Offender are not admitted.

Points of Interest

Fees for Overnighters: With Manatee County state ID - 7 free nights per year. Outside Manatee County ID - 3 free nights per year. Our year is October 1st to September 30th. Ten Dollars ($10.00) payable each night after free nights are used. Cold, Holiday and rain nights are free. All clients are 100% breathalized. Program residents are drug screened. Overnight clients checked in must stay at lodge/shelter. Those who leave will not be allowed back in. Bring in everything you need for the night. Food brought in may be consumed only in the day room. No food in dorms. Medication and weapons are checked in at Intake. Check out is 7:00 am for overnighters.
