Program Description

Operation Whatever It Takes (W.I.T.) aims to improve the educational outcomes of young children by giving parents the tools needed to better connect with their children and be more effective in their parenting practices. Operation W.I.T. is an 8-week program where parents learn from the Effective Black Parenting Curriculum while their children interact with our child educators on our fleet of educational vehicles. Operation W.I.T. frequents many convenient community locations such as churches, community centers, and child-care facilities. During Operation W.I.T., parents learn the importance of at home reading, what social learning theory means, several connection strategies, how to implement family rules, and how to use positive discipline.
