Program Description

The Citizens Action Center operates the 747-HELP line. Citizens may call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, to report problems that require County attention (e.g., loose or dangerous animals, broken water mains, sewer problems, et al). Staff of all departments are available on pager to respond to 747-HELP calls on weekends, holidays and during evening hours. An employee will call back within one-half hour of receiving a request.

The purpose of the Citizens Action Center is to provide a central contact point for citizens to request service, seek information/referrals, and direct complaints, compliments and suggestions regarding government service. The goal of the Citizens Action Center is to process 100% of the complaints received from citizens within 10 working days, and it accomplishes this goal through direct contact with Departments.
