Program Description

Banyan Pediatric Care Centers provide personalized, quality pediatric day care for medically complex children, delivered in a fun, developmentally appropriate childcare setting. We are by license a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) Center fully covered by Medicaid that provides nursing day care for children from birth to 21 years of age.

Closed on Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Eligibility Requirements and Important Information

Any child with a "skilled nursing need" qualifies. That is any condition that requires monitoring or is technology dependent. There is no physician referral or attendance requirement. Children can attend intermittently such as only during school breaks if desired. Easiest way to determine eligibility is to call for a tour or assessment.

Our staff is made up of RN's, LPN's, EMT's, RT's and CNA's. In addition, we offer all 4 disciplines of therapy such as PT, OT, SP and ABA. Transportation is provided to and from the center within the Manatee and Sarasota County territory lines for our Sarasota center. We are also located in Saint Petersburg and Pasco FL. Meals and dietary needs are meet as well within the hours of attending the center.
