Program Description

Better Togethers goal is to strengthen families and offer support in times of crisis to prevent the need for foster care via two programs- Better Families and Better Jobs. We have a team and compassionate volunteers to help: -Vetted, background checked and unpaid Host Families that can temporarily care for children while parent's work to get back on their feet or navigate a crisis. -Family Advocates to mentor, guide and support parents. -Job Coaches to come alongisde those struggling with employment barriers. Our program allows parent's to maintain full custody and contact with your children. We serve families in many counties- Collier, Lee, Hendry,Glades, Charlotte, Sarasota, Manatee, Desoto, Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough, Nausea, Duval and Clay. We also offer (free events): -Quarterly Parent's Night out with Vetted and background checked volunteers. -Quarterly Better Luncheons- helps connect families to community, long-term support and continuing education. It includes a dynamic speaker, lunch, childcare, a fun raffle and the opportunity to earn Better Bucks that can be utilized to purchase Christmas gifts for their children at the end of every year.
