Program Description

Project Prosper is a non-profit organization 501(c)3 founded in Tampa Bay, Florida, by Robin Warren and Ann Haendel in 2007. We provide financial services and education programs tailored to the unique needs of adult refugees and immigrants. Our financial literacy program focuses on classroom style education where participants are able to learn about the American Financial system through our 13 different courses. Our loan program offers $2,500 loans to immigrants and refugees looking to stabilize themselves financially. Our financial coaching program empowers clients with one-on-one sessions, giving them the financial knowledge and resources to make smarter decisions. The organization currently works in Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, and Sarasota Counties

Eligibility Requirements and Important Information

Financial Literacy and Personal Financial Coaching Eligibility: We do not require documentation or specific legal status' for our financial literacy classes or financial coaching program. Loan Program Eligibility: Must have lived in the US for less than 15 years, have proof of migration status and work permit, live or work in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Sarasota or Manatee, have an at lest 6 months work history, and have a low-moderate family income.

Our Financial Literacy program is free for our clients to access along with the books and other educational resources offered during the class. Loan Program: 0% Interest Loans where you can borrow $2,500 with no interest. This loan is 6.299% APR with the potential of 0% APR. Receive a dollar-for-dollar match with gift funds if you meet requirements. Our loans come with free financial coaching to guide your spending and money management! This service can also build your credit with all payments reported to the three major credit bureaus.
