Eligibility Requirements and Important Information

You must register to determine eligibility for the program. You must be a Manatee County resident to register. Eligibility is based on Federal Poverty Guidelines (monthly income and family size). Registration takes place in September. Children must be between the ages of 0-14. Hours and days of registration will vary. Please contact the Salvation Army, Manatee County at 941-748-5110 to confirm registration dates and location.

At registration we require ALL of the following documents: 1. State or Country Photo ID for all Adults in household (Photo copies ok for adults except applicant) 2. Birth Certificates for all children. Applicant's name must be on Birth Certificate. If not, guardianship documentation is required 3. Proof of residency in Manatee County (utility bill or other) 4. Proof of household income (any adults employed): 4 weeks worth of pay stubs Income Benefit Letter for SSI/SSDI 5. Government benefit verification: Medicaid/Medicare letter Food Stamps (SNAP)) Income Benefit Letter for SSI/SSDI Your child(ren) will NOT be registered without the above required documentation. Once you are registered, you will receive a date and time in December to pick up your child's gifts.
