Program Description

Before/After School Camp Myakka provides for Manatee County youth, ages 4 through 16, morning, after-school and summer care by offering a structured environment including 5 Steps to Decision Making, arts and crafts, recreational play, homework assistance, and self-esteem activities. Summer care will offer enrichment activities, along with field trips to fun and educational locations. Students will spend time together learning how to handle peer pressure, bullying, and drug prevention. Reading is encourages and rewarded. MAC helps every child to obtain grade level reading by offering a library, reading time, and partner reading.

On Mondays through Fridays from 4:00 to 5:00PM.**and The Choices Program for youth aged 4 to 8 years, to educate and make aware of the dangers of drug use, and the use of alcohol and tobacco, as well as the effects these substances have on physical and mental well-being.
